CSCSS Africa Programme

The CSCSS mission of the Africa Programme is to present sustained and timely cyber-centric research, development and analysis on the major elements of cyber security in Africa, with the aim of substantially shaping the global view on the cyber-centric issues and challenges facing the continent.

The programme fills a critical need globally for Africa cyber policy and analysis that forward looking, defining goals and objectives andoffering cyber programmes that deliver, education, research and policy recommendations that are timely, and pragmatic. It also facilitates a discourse and debate on expanding cyber policy toward and in Africa and encourages participation community in global Africa cyber policy, whether in Africa itself, or globally. The Programme seeks to highlight the opportunities and challenges for the continent, and develop ideas for strengthening cyber security partnerships to ensure support for cyber security stability, and good governance and development of cyber-centric intellectual resources.

Global cyber policy in Africa is the overarching research area of focus of the CSCSS Africa Programme. Consequently, it is informed by CSCSS global and regional experts, private sector representatives, government / non-governmental organizations, and government officials of participating nations who seek ways to strengthen cyber security and influence its future.
