CCC - Core Competencies
The Cyber Confict Centre aligns its activities and competencies in strategic areas of focus, providing an architectural framework that addresses current issues within the cyber domain including geo-political, economic, intelligence, military, and nation state focused areas.
- Provide global leadership on nation state cyber conflict current and future operations
- The cyberspace/cyber threat perspective includes but is not limited to trending, analyzing, designing, developing, documenting, integrating, testing, installing, and maintaining cyber conflict offensive-defensive capabilities
- Develop a variety of comprehensive computer network operations (CNO) capabilities that include both specific computer network attack (CNA) and computer network defence (CND) tactics and strategies that enable both electronic and information-based conflict (EW & IW)
- Serve as the test bed site (via the Cyberspace Science Research + Development Group and CSCSS partner research and development facilities) for interoperability testing among cyber conflict systems, tools, technologies, methodologies, frameworks, and processes, prior to their introduction to operational environments
- Provide operational support to assist in technical and programmatic oversight of cyber conflict and enabling systems, programs, and functions
- Provide supporting cyber conflict systems engineering and integration to advance and enhance effectiveness, systems, and functions
- Assess application of advanced cyber conflict concepts, technology, software, and hardware
- Demonstrate concepts and technology relating to cyber conflict and enabling systems and functions
- Conduct analyses and systems engineering to develop initiatives
- Provide leadership and identification of emerging cyber conflict requirements and trends
- Perform analysis and algorithm development, implementation, and display for cyber conflict tools and data fusion from various sources of information
- Threat assessment and threat analytics
- Support technical cyber warfare experiments, exercises, and other events
