CSCSS Announces Formation of C/C3i Group

LONDON, UK, September 11, 2013 The Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science / CSCSS today announced the formation of a new cyber security alliance, the Cybersecurity, Cybercime and Cyber Intelligence Group (C/C3i Group).
Under the leadership or CSCSS Senior Vice President Cybercrime Group members have the opportunity to collaborate on solutions that can provide threat detection, protection, and multi-layer security capabilities to solve customers' hard “cyber’ problems and build effective security ecosystems based on collaboration, and convergence to face future challenges and trends in cyberspace.
Speaking on behalf of the CSCSS and the C/C3i Group, CSCSS President and CEO Richard Zaluski stated, "By bringing combined strengths we can accelerate development of solutions without boundaries or limitations. Our adversaries operate in sophisticated criminal ecosystems that enable convergence and enhance their attacks at multiple layers. The C3i Group focuses on all aspects of computer crime and incident response including the provision of leadership pertaining to intrusion investigations, cybercrime law, digital forensics, and information assurance, as well as the research, development, testing, and evaluation of digital forensic tools”
The C3i Group enables its partners to identify cyber-counterintelligence vulner-abilities within their organizations and increase their awareness of threats to organizational, economic, and national security. C3i Group partners will be engaged in focused test scenarios, experiments, research and development enhancing the speed, security, and innovation of real world solutions development.
“We face significant known and unknown threats critical in nature,” said Richard Stones, Senior Vice President Global Cybercrime and C3i Chair “I frequently preach about ‘collaboration not Isolation’ and given the global nature and impact of Cybercrime the C3i initiative is a true global collaboration that brings together a broad range of international experts to address cyber-crime in all its forms.”
In Concert with CSCSS Resources and through our programs, the C3i Group aims to reduce the vulnerability of national infrastructure to e-terrorism and other cyber-threats. National infrastructure consists of key assets and faces a number of threats, from international and domestic terrorism to espionage
and other hostile foreign activity.

To counter these threats, the C3i Group delivers expert advice and leadership to businesses and organizations across the national information infrastructure covering physical, personal, and information security; all informed by access to intelligence and information about current cyber-threats and emerging trends.
The C3i Group will execute cyber activities, creating synergy to defend the cyberspace information security environment, while promoting CSCSS as a capable and respected international leader in cyberspace, cyber warfare, information dominance and defence, cyber security, and research and development.
